For most people, Topsail Island is a vacation spot.
For our family, it’s home — even before we ever lived here.
We’ve been coming to Topsail since the 1940s, and we’ve never missed a year. This is where I learned to surf, where I grew up in the ocean, and where my love for waves, faith, and family truly took shape.
Southern Sunshine Surf Lessons was created to honor that legacy. This isn’t just a surf school — it’s a way to share the joy, confidence, and freedom this island has given us for generations.
